How to Write a Dissertation – From Planning to Proofreading

Many students will ask how to write a dissertation paper. This question is an important one especially if this is your first time to complete such a school paper. So what are the basic steps that I should know in composing the research document? Let me give you some simple and basic procedures.

1. Choose a topic interest. When you do this, make sure that you also come up with an idea to write about. This idea will then become your thesis statement. The problems statement becomes your true mission in finding answers for its question. You may choose any subjects even those considered as controversial research topics.
2. Create a proposal. Do this to help you in writing your paper. The research proposal should first be approved by the adviser. This way, you will know that you ate on the right track of researching and writing.
3. Conduct researching. Depending on your methodology, you can now start researching for documents or do experiments. To test the validity of your claim in the thesis statement, you can also do surveying, interviewing and data mining.
4. Write the parts of your dissertation paper. You need to include the dissertation title, introduction, literature review, methodology, data and analysis, results and discussions and the conclusion. Do not forget to include a bibliography page.

Now that you know how to write a dissertation, you can start writing the proposal. One tip for you, do not forget to proofread your work to make your paper as perfect as possible.
