Thesis literature review
Thesis literature review is one of the most vital sections of your research project and you need to take extra bit of care for making it. This section has a special significance in the context of your research paper and it can’t be underestimated.
The studying of different papers is very important from the staring of your research project. First of all when you will choose the problem statement, namely a thesis statement it is very important that you need to have a good grasp over the subject and at the same time you need to know the way of making a proper research statement and all this knowledge necessary for making a good research paper you can gain only by reading different types of literature which is related to your subject or which is related to making a good research paper. You need to be thoroughly acquainted with all the research papers, articles or journals those have published in the similar field of study.
It will give you a fair bit of idea about the nature of the problem you are going to face in the future, what should be the correct approach to solve the problem and what are the lacunas those are lying in the existing theories and what can be the way to find the solution for them. Thesis methodology chapter is the next step in presenting the correct methodology for the subject.
This section generally comes just after the preliminary pages of the research paper like cover page, acknowledgement section, index page and the abstract section. This section must state the different research articles already been done in the similar field and their findings. This section is very vital because of the fact that it gives the reader a good idea about the work already been done in the field and the significance of the problem become clearer to them.
In the preliminary pages the research report should carry a title and date, followed by acknowledgements in the form of thesis acknowledgement statement , preface or foreword. Then there should be a table of contents followed by list of tables and illustrations so that the decision maker or anybody interested in reading the report can easily locate the required information in the report with out any difficulty.
After this we generally include the literature review section just before the introduction section. The main text of the report should have the following sections a) introduction b) statement of findings and recommendations c) the results d) the implications drawn from the results and e) the summary. The purpose of introduction is to introduce the research project to the readers.
It should contain a clear statement of the objectives of research i.e. enough background should be given to make clear to the reader why the problem was considered worth investigating. The hypotheses of the study, if any, and the definitions of the major concepts employed in the study should be explicitly stated in the introduction of the report. The collected data are analyzed and the findings and recommendations are reported. The results and its implications are also recorded before the end of the paper.
