Writing a Thesis
Writing a thesis sometimes equates to troublesome tasks. Actually, this is very true when I first composed the Introduction chapter of my own dissertation. I was really lost and upset since I did not have any ideas how to start writing a simple research paper what more of a university dissertation. However, it was a fortunate experience that during my time, the internet is already an extensively used technology and learned the basics of writing a dissertation. Now, I want to share with you some basic steps in writing a thesis paper.
Writing a thesis starts by selecting a topic. A topic interest must be chosen if you are; 1. Interested to write about it, 2. Has an extensive knowledge about the topic, 3. Resources are available for you to use, 4. It is feasible to conduct researching about the topics and that 5. It is an important domain to discuss about which could benefit the society.
When you have selected a topic, you must then intertwine the topic interest to the actual goal of researching. There are practically many goals in writing; arguing, persuading and exposing info just to name a few. For example if you are going to write an architecture dissertation, you can set a goal of arguing that the materials found deep within bed rocks are good architectural design materials.
Writing a thesis also demands that you write a good thesis statement. This is the core idea of your research and you have to assert that the notion is true and valid. A thesis statement should be simple, specific and serves as a guide for the entire research process.
Integrating the different chapters is the next step in writing a thesis. We cannot discuss how to write each of these chapters but we will enumerate them for you: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Data, Analysis, Results and Conclusion. You may also add Abstract, Recommendations and Illustrations pages.
Lastly, writing a thesis ends in proofreading. Of course you already know that it is important to eliminate errors in spelling, grammar and coherence. Now you are done.
